Martinez couple rejects Baron Geisler's settlement offer

{mosimage}Celebrity couple William Martinez and Yayo Aguila on Tuesday rejected an out-of-court settlement offer by Baron Geisler’s camp in connection to the latter’s acts of lasciviousness case.

Geisler, who skipped anew Tuesday’s hearing at the Justice department, was charged for allegedly making lewd advances on the couple’s 21-year-old daughter Patrizha Maree last April.

"It's too late for such a settlement offer. We believe that this is a good time to teach him (Geisler) a lesson. The only door open for him now is the door to jail," Panelo said. During the said preliminary investigation, Aguila filed her counter-affidavit in response to Geisler’s previous countercharge of perjury against her.

Geisler had said in his countercharge that it was “impossible" for Aguila to testify for Patrizha because she did not personally witness the alleged fondling incident.

In her sworn statement, Aguila had admitted she only learned about the incident through phone calls and text messages that she received from her family while she was in the United States.

But in Tuesday’s hearing, Aguila said despite her being away at that time, what she narrated in her statement were all true.

"I’m not hurt. I’m not sad. It’s just that enough for friendship muna (for now)," Aguila said.

After being charged, Geisler has since filed perjury charges against Aguila and unjust vexation against Aguila’s daughter.

Aguila claimed in her affidavit executed last July 2 that while the respondent was under the influence of liquor, Geisler also made sexual advances to her and other female participants in the December 2007 presentation of a reality show.

She further claimed that Geisler also tried to molest her in a party held at the Makati Sports Clubs the following month, and that he even created a scene when he was accosted by Martinez and other sponsors.

She said that she did not file charges then because she wanted Geisler to redeem himself.

In her complaint, Patrizha claimed that she texted several friends, which included Geisler, to come and join them at the Fiamma bar. Geisler later appeared at the bar.

Upon arrival, Geisler told her that he had already drunk a bottle of wine and some beer.

Patrizha said Geisler left her group when some of his friends arrived.

After an hour, she saw Geisler again and asked if he was still okay. He then asked her if she could count his change since he was already very drunk.

Suddenly, Patrizha said that Geisler embraced her and asked if she already had a boyfriend.

He also told her to have sex with him.

She added that Geisler then apologized but then he touched her breasts. She said she did not react as it might create a scene and hurt her parents reputation.
