Actress-comedienne Pokwang stressed that she knows who her real mother is and dismissed the claim of a 53-year-old woman saying that she's the biological mom of the actress.
Pokwang's statement about her real identity stemmed from Mrs. Josie Baclas dela Cruz-Salvador's statement saying that she's the missing mother of the actress known as showbiz’s “Babaeng Bakla.”
Mrs. Salvador, a mother of two girls from Tampakan, South Cotabato recounted that she was only 19 when she decided to go to Olongapo City. It was on November 7, 1976 when she gave birth to her baby girl she named Jocelyn in Bacoor, Cavite.
She said that after a month she decided to work and left Jocelyn in the caring of an old woman.
She claimed that when she went back for her daughter, she could no longer find the old woman or Jocelyn. She said that she just learned that her daughter was sold for eight thousand pesos (P8,000).
Mrs. Salvador said she tried to find Jocelyn but after sometime she finally gave up saying that she doesn't know where to find help to locate her offspring.
Now, after almost 30 years Mrs. Salvador is saying that Pokwang is her daughter and she’s longing to see the actress.
Pokwang said that reports saying that her real mother has surfaced already happened in 2006.
Pokwang, who has 11 siblings, said that she will also pray so that Mrs. Salvador would be able to find her missing daughter.
Pokwang is busy co-hosting ABS-CBN's popular noontime show "Wowowee". She said that her father was the late Antonio Subong and her mother is Mrs. Gloria Subong, who lives in Antipolo and loves to play bingo. - abs-cbnNEWS
