Show business talk show “The Buzz” on Sunday denied allegations that its staff disrespected the family of Marky Cielo while covering the wake of actor in Baguio. The show pointed out that its staff never forced Cielo’s mother, Mildred Cadaweng, to grant them an interview amid accusations that they created the scene while covering the wake. “Malungkot dahil pinalaki lamang ng kabilang estasyon ang dapat lamang ay tahimik na proseso ng pag-cover ng sensitibong balita tulad ng pamamaalam ni Marky Cielo,” the show said in a statement. The Buzz’s Marlon Escalona said he and his crew did ask Cielo’s mother for an interview but when Cadaweng begged off because she had to do something they respected her request. Escalona said the staff could no longer interview Cadaweng after Cielo’s body arrived in Baguio. “Actually niyaya kami ng the same family. Pinakape kami pero hindi kami nakapagkape dahil dumating na bigla ‘yong labi ni Marky,” he said. The Buzz, meanwhile, apologized to Cielo’s family after they were dragged into the issue.
