Ms. Fitrum grand finals slated on Wowowee January 17 |

 Catch the Ms. Fitrum 2008 Grand Finals on Wowowee on Saturday, Jan. 17, on ABS-CBN.
Wowowee began its search for Ms. Fitrum last year, held three times a week and had daily, weekly and monthly finals.
And now, the 28 finalists will vie for the first ever title of Ms. Fitrum 2008. Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao are well-represented as eight finalists come from the regional areas of Bicol, Iloilo, Bacolod, Baguio, Davao and Cebu.
Opening the grand finals is a very festive ati-atihan and singkil dance number. The contestants will also show off their costumes from their provinces. The panel of judges, two being former beauty queens Gloria Diaz and Miriam Quiambao, will choose a winner for Best in Swimsuit, Best in Costume, Ms. Telegenic and Best in Evening Gown. |

 Last to arrive si Marian Rivera for the second grand press conference of Desperadas 2, one of the two entries of Regal Entertainment in the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival, at noon today, December 15, at Imperial Palace Suites. Directed by Joel Lamangan, almost kumpleto ang cast na dumating including her four "sisters": Ruffa Gutierrez, Rufa Mae Quinto, Iza Calzado, and Ogie Alcasid; pati na rin ang mga leading men nilang sina Jay-R, Christian Vasquez, TJ Trinidad, Will Devaughn, at Carlo Guevara.
Naka-cast pa rin ang paa ni Marian at doon muna siya tumuloy sa doctor niya para ayusin ito. Pag-upo ni Marian na katabi si Rufa Mae, isang unnoticed incident ang nangyari. Katapat niya ang isa sa mga beteranong manunulat na bago pa lang dumating si Marian ay may galit nang nagkukuwento sa isang insidente patungkol sa pagiging "plastikada" raw ni Marian. Nangako ang manunulat na sasabihin niya ito nang harapan sa aktres kung sakaling dumating ito.

 American popular rock band Journey’s new frontman Arnel Pineda won the P1 million prize in ABS-CBN’s hit game show “Deal or No Deal.”
Pineda was declared as the show’s 17th millionaire in the show hosted by Kris Aquino. “Ayos naman, at least maraiming matutulungan. Marami ang nabigyan ng balato,” Pineda told abs-cbnNEWS.com in an interview. Pineda said part of the prize will go to his foundation that aims to help streetchildren. |

 Hunk actor Sam Milby said that everything is okay now between him and ex-girlfriend actress Anne Curtis.
"Okay na kami. Nag-usap na kami," Milby said in an interview during the premiere night of his first digital film titled "Cul-de-sac."
The actor said his conversation with Curtis was something that he considered as a "good talk.'
He added that they went into the details of what happened between them in the past and tackled things they have to clear.

Heart is Mega Manila's new queen of primetime |

 Heart Evangelista may now be called as the new queen of primetime television, at least for Mega Manila viewers. This is because her new GMA-7 fantaserye, Luna Mystika, consistently topped the ratings game this week.
Moreover, Luna Mystika finally reached the 40-plus mark last Monday, November 24, when it posted a rating of 40.2 percent—its highest rating, so far, since its debut last week. It's been quite a while since a primetime show was able to reach a 40-plus mark after Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes's Dyesebel ended last October.
Luna Mystika, which also stars Mark Anthony Fernandez, led other six Kapuso shows in dominating the primetime race. These are Gagambino, La Lola, Survivor Philippines, 24 Oras, My Husband's Woman, and Family Feud.
