ABS-CBN contract star actress Ara Mina said that she is excited for her sister Cristine Reyes’ debut television series "Eva Fonda, 16."

"Actually excited na ako medyo naiinip na nga ako, ako ‘yung naiinip. Ako yung excited for her," she told abs-cbnNEWS.com.

"Parang it's a dream come true na magkaroon siya ng (television show) na bida siya na primetime na teleserye," the actress added.

Ara Mina said that she is really happy and proud of her sister’s career especially when people tell her that Reyes is doing good work.

"Natutuwa ako for her kasi sinabi ni Laurice Guillen na magaling ‘yung kapatid mo… proud ate ako kahit nagkakaroon kami ng away kasi ano naman talagang may potential ang bata," she said.

When asked if she is envious of Reyes' budding career, she said, "Hindi. Nagkaroon naman na ako ng solo show before sa kabilang station hindi nga lang telenovela.

"Nagbibida naman ako sa pelikula hindi man siya nagkaroon ng maraming pelikula na bida s’ya pero bida siya sa TV. Ako naman siguro hindi ko na mabilang ‘yung pinagbidahan kong pelikula. So hindi mo maa-achieve lahat."

The actress said that she is on good terms now with her sibling. The two had a controversial rift that lasted for almost a month. Ara Mina also said that they are finding time to communicate.

"Yes (okay kami) pero hindi pa kami nagkikita, we are texting each other but not everyday," she said.

Ara Mina or Hazel Reyes-Mathay in real life started her career as a member of "That's Entertainment."

The turning point in her career was when she won the Best Actress Award for the movie "Mano Po" in 2002.

She was a member of the longest-running gag show in the country, "Bubble Gang."

Nowadays, aside from being busy taping for "Ligaw na Bulaklak," Mina is also focusing on her food business "Cafe Mina."

She will also launch a healthy drink named "Easy Cleansing" that will help people prevent colon cancer.

Ara Mina is also a recording artist. She is scheduled to do shows both out of town and out of the country.
