Krista Ranillo and her dad's relationship still icy over her sexy photos

Actor Mat Ranillo III  is still giving the cold shoulder to his daughter young actress Krista Ranillo, after the release of the August issue of FHM, the men's magazine where she posed in a sexy pictorial. Krista also appears on the cover wearing only a bikini in a seductive pose.

 “Hindi po niya matingnan ang mga pictures ko. Hindi pa rin kami nag-uusap nang matagal,” said Krista, adding that “Hindi ko naman po pino-force ang issue. Kung talagang magkakausap na kami at magkakasundo, so be it,” added the young actress.

But it’s Krista’s mom, Lynda Tupaz, who’s bridging the gap between father and daughter.

 “Si Mama po ang tumingin sa lahat ng photos bago mai-publish. Siya rin ang nakikipag-usap kay Daddy para sa side ko,” exclaimed Krista. “In-examine niyang isa-isa ang shots at ang hindi niya gusto, ayaw niyang ipa-publish.”

It was also from her mom whom she got permission to pose sexy for the girlie mag.

 “Masyado lang po kasing conservative ang Daddy ko. Of course, I understand his situation. Basta ako, mahal ko siya at hindi ko naman siya binibigyan ng kahihiyan,” she explained.

The controversial pictures help Krista gain momentum in her career. “Okay naman daw po ang sales. Malaking tulong din po sa aking career. I hope Dad understands.”

Krista is still optimistic that Archie will one day fully accept her decision to go bold as a mature woman.

 “Alam ko naman po na darating ‘yong araw na ’yon. Matiyaga naman po ako sa pag-understand sa kanya,” opined Krista.

Krista is the eldest daughter of Mat Ranillo III and Linda Tupaz. She was named "Krista" after the film "Kristo" (Filipino word for "Christ"), where her father Mat played Jesus Christ.

Krista cut short her showbiz career from 2002 till 2007 to focus on her studies at the Ateneo de Manila University where she was a consistent Dean's Lister". She graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with tracks in Communications and Psychology.

Her most recent film project is "Paupahan", where she plays a liberated, foul-mouthed and ambitious character who does anything and everything to become a showbiz star.
