Catch the Ms. Fitrum 2008 Grand Finals on Wowowee on Saturday, Jan. 17, on ABS-CBN.

Wowowee began its search for Ms. Fitrum last year, held three times a week and had daily, weekly and monthly finals.

And now, the 28 finalists will vie for the first ever title of Ms. Fitrum 2008. Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao are well-represented as eight finalists come from the regional areas of Bicol, Iloilo, Bacolod, Baguio, Davao and Cebu.

Opening the grand finals is a very festive ati-atihan and singkil dance number. The contestants will also show off their costumes from their provinces. The panel of judges, two being former beauty queens Gloria Diaz and Miriam Quiambao, will choose a winner for Best in Swimsuit, Best in Costume, Ms. Telegenic and Best in Evening Gown.

There will be four winners wherein the third runner-up will win a trip to Cebu for two and P100,000. The second runner-up will win a trip to Boracay for two and P200,000 and the first runner-up will take a trip to Hong Kong for two and P300,000. The first ever Ms. Fitrum 2008 will win a trip to Singapore for two, P500,000, a brand new car and a one-year contract with Star Magic.
