“I have sleepless nights. Worse than taping days na puyatan. But it’s not the kind that I would say, “Ayaw ko na.”

Karel is lucky to have a mom like Pinky Marquez. “During the first week, I was texting her. Mom, where are you? Do you have taping? Kung wala, come here na lang. And she’ll be here naman.”

Contrary to rumors, Karel is not leaving showbiz. “I have not thought about leaving showbiz. It’s really in my blood. I still have the drive to perform. I’m taking my time with Kaylie muna.”

Karel and husband Arman Go met in Boracay in 2008. It was not love at first sight for them. They were married in civil rites. Arman used to be part of ABS-CBN’s Star Circle Batch 5.
