Derek Ramsay on Tuesday confessed that he used to have a crush on actress Kristine Hermosa.

In a press conference for upcoming television series “Nasaan Ka Maruja?” Ramsay admitted that he was drawn to Hermosa’s beautiful face.  His past affection was the reason he became nervous when he found out that he would be paired with the actress, he added.

“After one or two tapings,” Ramsay became more relaxed in the set as he discovered the wacky and bubbly side of Hermosa and other cast of “Nasaan Ka Maruja?”

"I was very nervous pero, after one or two taping days, [nalaman ko] mas makulit pala sila sa akin. Ako, mahilig akong makipagkulitan sa mga cast ko," he said.

To avoid any speculation that might surface after this admission, the actor said girlfriend Angelica Panganiban was aware of his past feelings for Hermosa.

Ramsay, one of the sought-after leading men in show business, is portraying the character of Ross in the upcoming TV series. Ross will fall in love with Cristy/Maruja (Hermosa).

"Nasaan Ka Maruja?" is a story about Maruja and Garbriel's everlasting love that defies time. The storyline deals with the concept of reincarnation.

Other cast members are John Estrada, Enchong Dee, Kitkat, Bing Pimentel and Gloria Diaz. The series will have its premier on May 2.
