Jericho Rosales, who is celebrating his 12th anniversary in show business, opened up and shared for the first time his humble beginnings and struggles before becoming a popular actor.

"With everything that is coming my way, this is maybe one way of saying thank you and to share with them how I started. Selling fish, isa lang ‘yon sa napagdaanan ko dati," Rosales said.

The hunk actor also disclosed that he did blue collar jobs in the past. He was also once a pizza boy and salesman.

"Kapag wala na kaming kuryente sa bahay, nangangapitbahay [kami] tapos kakain ng kanin na may mantika at asin,” Rosales said.

Now, Rosales is one of the established actors in showbiz, with various TV series, movies and endorsements under his belt. Rosales hoped that other people would be inspired by his story.

Meanwhile, Rosales is happy because he remains friends with his former girlfriends. The actor admitted that he once saw Cindy Kurleto, a half-Filipino, half-Austrian model, with her current boyfriend during a concert in the country.

"Sabi niya, ‘good to see you.’ Nagulat ako kasi umuwi pala siya galing Vienna. Kasama niya ang boyfriend niya," he said.

On actress Heart Evangelista, who is now reportedly single again, Rosales said the two of them would remain friends.

He is also excited to be working again with Kristine Hermosa. The two will star in the upcoming television series “Dahil May Isang Ikaw.”

"Basta ang alam ko ay magta-trabaho kami at kumportable kami. At mukha naman siyang masaya," Rosales said.
