MANILA - Actress-singer Roselle Nava is planning to make a splash in the recording industry as she gears up for another album under Viva Records.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Nava said she is thrilled with her upcoming project since it has been a while since she last released an album.

"I'm really excited and looking forward sa bago kong album na hopefully ay ma-release soon," Nava said.

Trying something new this time around, the singer said she will be recording song revivals, all of which have some special meaning for Nava, including songs she had sung for past auditions.

"We decided to include songs which are important to me. Then like 'yong song na kinanta ko sa audition sa 'Ang TV', 'yong 'Where Do Broken Hearts.' [Tapos] 'yong nag-audition ako sa 'That's Entertainment, 'yong 'I Missed You Like Crazy.' When I joined 'Bagong Kampeon' 'yong 'What I Did For Love'," she said.

She will also include hits from the '90s in lieu of Nava's plan to cook up a show titled "Ladies of the '90s" with singers Rachel Alejandro, Jessa Zaragoza and Geneva Cruz.

The former teen actress, who is busy promoting her upcoming album, said she is looking forward to her new life as a married woman. She plans to wed her long-time boyfriend next year.

"[I am] excited and looking forward to it also. Kasi iba ang may sarili kayong life together. I don't have any problems with him kasi matagal na kami. Hindi siya 'yong tipong magbabawal kasi he's very supportive of me," she said.
 
Aside from wedding preparations, Nava also plans to spend most of her time at her own music school called "Music Corner By Roselle Nava."

Nava started her career as a part of ABS-CBN's defunct youth-oriented show "Ang TV." Nava is the voice behind hits like "Mahal Mo Ba'y Di Na Ako", "Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita" and "Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita."
