“Whether you believe it or not, we still have good relations with him,” Kris Aquino said. “In fact, manonood kami ng sisters ko ng movie nila ni Ai-Ai because it’s Ai-Ai’s birthday.” She even joked that she will know that Estrada holds a grudge if he gives her the cold shoulder during the film's premiere night. Estrada, who will also run for president next year, has a movie under Star Cinema called "Ang Tanging Pamilya" with comedic actress Ai-Ai de las Alas. It has been over 20 years since Estrada made a movie. Aquino revealed that Estrada continues to send them fruits, much as he did during former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino's sickness. “You know, regularly, he (Estrada) sends us fruits pa rin. Kasi dati, the whole time mom was sick, every week nagpapadala siya. Tapos, last week lang nagpadala siya sa amin ng peaches, ponkans (oranges), and grapes." Estrada was supposed to appear on gossip show "The Buzz" two Sundays ago, but he failed to show up. Estrada cited health reasons. Aquino, who is the show's co-host, denied that she was the reason for the apparent rebuff. “Baka it’s not about us, but another issue about the movie. Baka meron silang issue doon," she said."Baka he really was not feeling well kaya ayaw niya. As far as my family is concerned and he is concerned, the communication lines remain open. Pero parang wala naman. Kasi kung ayaw na niya talaga sa [a]min ‘di wala nang fruits,” Aquino said. The actress further clarified that Estrada had always treated former President Cory Aquino with respect throughout her life. Though Cory had participated in movements for Estrada's ouster during his presidency, the pair reconciled after a few years. “Parang he treated our mother very well eh. Sa amin, siguro ‘yon ang pinakamahalaga. We still really like him. And so far naman, hindi naman niya inaatake si Noy,” Aquino said. Meanwhile, Aquino said she is proud of her brother's new campaign commercial in the form of a music video that starred celebrities from rival networks. All stars had reportedly agreed to appear in the video free of charge. “I’m so proud of the fact that Noy’s video has the best of both networks. They dedicated their services to Noy because they believed in him,” she said during the November 3 press conference of her latest endorsement. Aquino revealed that there will be a second version of the music video, which will feature more stars who support Sen. Aquino's political campaign.
