MANILA – The wife of pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao was conspicuously absent during the boxer’s after-fight party in Los Angeles, California.

Jinkee and Manny reportedly had a spat over rumors about his alleged affair with actress Krista Ranillo.

In a Thanksgiving mass in Las Vegas after his successful match with Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico, Jinkee turned emotional in the middle of the priest’s homily.

A footage taken during the mass showed the inconsolable Jinkee shunning Manny’s attempt to comfort her. She instead turned to her female friend who was also sitting beside her.

In the Los Angeles party, Manny, who arrived 2 hours late, was not in his usual enthusiastic self. Nevertheless, he gave in to the demands of his fans to sing during the celebration.

According to Manny’s Canadian advisor, Michael Koncz, the new WBO welterweight champion was not feeling well. He said the Filipino boxer just had his ear checked by his doctor.

Manny briefly faced the media who waited for the people’s champ for 4 hours. The media was also told beforehand that they were not allowed to ask about his personal life, reports said.

According to the sources of ABS-CBN North America News Bureau, Ranillo was also in LA originally to appear in a Filipino show there. The sources said her guesting has been cancelled after Ranillo’s camp requested that she would not be asked about Manny.

Koncz and Manny’s friend Marco Sison came into Manny’s defense.

Koncz maintained that the famous boxer’s personal life is his own business.

On the other hand, Sison said: “Ganyan talaga kapag sumisikat madaming chismis. Kapag kaibigan babae, ichi-chismis sa’yo... hindi ko alam kung totoo, but he’s a good family man.”
