A pretty and elegant Eda Nolan appeared at the press conference of Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo’s Dragonna. Looking at her then, no one would ever think that the 19-year-old actress is already a mother to a 10-month-old baby named Gian Andre, her son with boyfriend Gian Carlos. ABS-CBN.com talked to Eda on how she is balancing her time for work and for her baby. “Okay naman kasi my mom is very supportive. If ever may work siya na nagbabantay sa baby ko kasi ayoko namang umasa sa yaya. Mom ko rin is very hands on pagdating sa bata, siyempre kasi ako wala pa ako gaanong alam. Kung wala kaming ginagawa ni Gian kami na lang nag-aalaga sa baby, nagtutulungan kami,” said Eda.

Eda starred in the teen series Let’s Go! and its spin-off, Go Kada Go and later on, in the teleserye Walang Kapalit with Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barretto. She was a regular on the Aga Muhlach sitcom That’s My Doc but she decided to quit when she learned she was pregnant. When she disappeared from the showbiz scene, there were speculations that she was on the family way and hiding out in her hometown. An exclusive story and photos in the March issue of Starstudio Magazine was the first public confirmation that the rumors were true.

For now, Eda considers herself blessed for having been given the chance to make a comeback. She has had guest appearances in the Pinoy adaptation of My Girl and recently in the afternoon teleserye Pieta. Next, Eda will play the bubbly best friend of Shaina Magdayao who plays superhero Dragonna in the Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo series. The young actress told ABS-CBN.com that she is thankful to the people who helped her return to showbiz. “Ang daming tumulong sa akin, ‘yung mga taong hindi ako pinabayaan. Una na ang Star Magic at si Mr. M (Johnny Manahan). Sina Sir Biboy (Arboleda) ng Starstudio Magazine din kasi na-feature nila ako about my pregnancy. That time I no longer have to explain sa isang tao ‘yung nangyari sa akin, isang paliwanagan na lang. Malaki din ang pasasalamat ko kay Sir Deo (Endrinal) dahil binibigyan niya ako ng mga projects at ‘yung handler ko naman kasi talagang hindi niya ako pinabayaan.”

Eda admitted that she and Gian are thinking about getting married, but they haven’t really made any plans. “May plans din naman [to get married] since we’re living together na. Pero siyempre hindi rin naman ganun kadali magpakasal. Iniisip namin baka private wedding na lang, then magpakasal na lang kami ulit kapag tumagal kami ng mga five years, God willing.”

Eda is also a part of Shake, Rattle, and Roll 10 in the Class Picture episode with her Go Kada Go co-stars Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.
