Rosales said before accepting any project, including his current film Baler, he would sit down with the crew in order to discuss sensitive scenes in the movie. “Every time na gumagawa [ako] ng project, tinatanong ko kung anong purpose ng kissing scene, ng love scene. Hindi naman ako tumatanggap ng project na basta-basta,” the young actor told show business talk show “The Buzz.” He added that he does this because as an actor he believes that it is his responsibility to the viewers, especially to his young fans, to tackle every sensitive scene. “I think Anne realizes that, respects na idea ‘yong tinanong ko lang. Pinresent sa akin na, ‘Of course, it's a love story ganito, ganyan.’ [Sabi ko], ‘OK go,” he said. As for Curtis, she said: “Sobrang respect ko ‘yong beliefs niya… tama lang naman din ‘yon [na] may purpose ang eksena.” Meantime, Rosales was all praises for Curtis as the two recalled their experience while shooting the film in Baler, Aurora province. He shared that he and Curtis felt awkward during the first day of shooting because they had to kiss in their first scene together. When Rosales was asked if there was a possibility that he would fall in love with the “Dyosa” star, the actor, who is currently unattached after his break-up with former girlfriend Heart Evangelista, answered in affirmative. “Baler,” the official entry of VIVA Films to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), is the story of a forbidden love. In the film, Rosales plays a half-Indio, half-Spanish soldier. His leading lady, Curtis, plays the role of Felisse, the daughter of the head of the rebels who falls in love with Rosales.
