Actor Jon Avila confessed that he and actress-comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto are now in the “getting to know each other” stage.

"Just exploring muna. We’ll see what will happen in 2009," the actor said. "Single [ako] ngayon but I'm willing not to be single this year.”

Avila said, among other things, he admires Quinto because she is nice, sweet and God-fearing.

Quinto and Avila met when they were shooting their first film together titled "Status: Single" under Viva Films. 

The actor also said that he does not mind whenever Quinto openly talks about their relationship. 

"Si P-Chi (Quinto’s nickname) naman, talagang vocal sa media or sa mga kaibigan niya, so ganoon talaga siya. So nakaka-flatter.  Thanks for the friendship, and I'm glad that you are here with me this time, the beginning of 2009,” he added.

Meanwhile, Avila, the lead star of former TV series “Kapitan Boom,” is set to make a television comeback.

He said he is part of the upcoming TV show “Sanlakas,” which will also star “Komiks” superheroes “Lastikman,” “Tiny Tony,” and “Varga.”
