Beth Tamayo’s family problems confirmed by handler’s daughter

“The Buzz” host Ruffa Gutierrez confirmed Sunday that actress Beth Tamayo is “having family problems” amid rumors that she and her husband, businessman Johnny Wong, have separated.

Gutierrez said Tamayo purportedly could no longer work because of her problems at home.

The host said Tamayo had asked her “mother”, talent manager Annabelle Rama, to “kill” the actress’s character in television series “Luna Mystika” so that she could focus on her family.

Rama is Tamayo’s talent manager and mother of Gutierrez.

“Beth wrote an e-mail to my mom saying, ‘I’m having family problems which I’m not yet ready to talk right now. At gusto kong ayusin ang problemang to so please patayin niyo na ako sa Luna Mystika,’” Gutierrez said quoting Tamayo.

Tamayo and Wong have been married for four years now. Reports said the two separated in December 2008 allegedly because of her husband’s bad behavior.

There was also an instance wherein Tamayo allegedly had to move to a condominium to get away from her husband, reports said.

Meanwhile, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo, Tamayo’s best friends, said they hoped that their friend could hurdle the issue.

“Siyempre, sa bawat relationship ng mga tao hindi mo maiiwasang magkaroon kayo ng problema. Siguro ako, nagdadasal ako na baka naman maayos pa,” said Santos.

She added: “Beth knows that both of us are just here for her.”

Agoncillo, Santos’s fiancé, for his part said: “Hindi natin alam kung anong pinagdadaanan nila. I hope they’re okay. Whatever they decided on, we just hope it’s the right decision and it’s the decision that makes them the happiest.”
