Award winning actor Allen Dizon shared that he is now taking a break from portraying sexy roles.

Dizon said that aside from the fact that he is not getting any younger, this time, he wants to focus more on doing drama and serious roles.

"'Yun na muna ang goal ko ngayon lalo itong 2009 na huwag muna yung pagpapa-sexy. Serious muna. Kahit paano may napatunayan na ako sa acting. Ang tagal ko na sa showbiz. Ito na siguro muna ang right time," the actor explained.

The actor was named Best Supporting Actor for the 2007 Star Awards and FAMAS Awards for his role as an ageing 'macho dancer' in the movie "Twilight Dancers."

Dizon started his career in doing sexy films. "For how many years naman na puro sexy ang ginagawa ko from the start at hindi ko dinideny," said Dizon.

Aside from acting, Dizon also ventured into producing independent films. "Paupahan" was his first full-length film under his own company ATD Entertainment Productions.

Right now, Dizon is busy promoting his upcoming film "Butas" with Gwen Garci and Marco Morales.

The actor did not do any sexy scenes in the film. But he expressed his admiration for Garci's professionalism and also to Morales for playing sexy roles without hesitation.

"Butas" is a story of an unfaithful wife who will be facing a tragedy as she was caught in the act by her husband through a peephole.
