'Direk' Cathy feels pressure for Sarah-Lloydie's newest film

Award winning television and film director Cathy Garcia Molina admitted that she now feels the pressure of spearheading John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo's second movie together entitled "You Changed My Life."

The newest film is the sequel to the tandem’s hit debut film together "A Very Special Love (AVSL)."

"Pressure? Pangit man pong tanggapin ay oo. Pero sinusubukang kalimutan ang pressure para huwag maapektuhan yung trabaho namin," the director said.

Molina said that to cope, she and the same production team from AVSL are just trying to give their best and pretend that they are shooting a new movie to lessen the pressure.

"Hindi mo maiwasang maikumpara ka at mag-expect ang tao ng more or better... everytime we do a film we always give our best so yun na lang po," she explained.

 The director said that in the newest film, the hit tandem will start as sweethearts and will face different challenges as individuals.

"Ang kaibahan po sila na ngayon. Magsisimula ang pelikula na sila na po. May nagbabadya pong ka-triangle although wala pang confirmation kung sino," she said.
 
No 'face-off'

Contrary to reports that "You Changed My Life” will be shown on the day of hearts, the director said that it will not coincide with the playdate of GMA Films’ Valentine’s Day movie “When I Met You.”
 
"It was never meant for February 14 kasi that playdate was meant for Richard-KC under GMA films. Hindi po talaga itatapat," Molina said. The statement was in reaction to reports of an impending box-office face-off between her upcoming film and KC Concepcion-Richard Gutierrez's second film together.

Molina even said that she believes that moviegoers will also support "When I Met You," which is directed by acclaimed director Joel Lamangan who is now busy finishing the film.
 
"Kaya ni direk Joel 'yon. Kilala din siya sa mabilis na magtrabaho at maayos, so tatanggkilikin po yan," Molina ended.
