Bugoy Drilon emotional during album launch

Bugoy DrilonJay "Bugoy" Drilon, Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 second star dreamer, said he was on cloud nine during the launching of his first solo album titled "Bugoy: Paano Na Kaya?" Tuesday night.

"Happy po ako and so proud na 'yon unti-unti ng naga-grant yung line up ng dream ko," Drilon told abs-cbnNEWS.com

The album launching was held at Red Box in Trinoma, Quezon City.

Included in Drilon's first CD are "Paano Na Kaya" and "Simulan Mo Ang Isang Pangarap" composed by  Ryan Cayabyab; "Kung Pwede Lang Sana," "Muli," and "Lahat ng Yan," by Vehnee Saturno; and "Bakit Ba?" by Jonathan Manalo.

Paano Na Kaya and Muli have become instant hits.  But, for Drilon, his personal favorite is "Lahat Ng Yan."

"Nakaka-relate ako sa lyrics ng song, 'hindi ka mag-iisa sa buhay, sagot kita. Isang tawag mo lang ako ang nagmamahal sa iyo.' Kumbaga parang yong song kasi ay religious siya na may kinalaman sa family and friends.  [Sila] naman talaga ang pinakamahalagang bagay na nakamit ko," he said.

Dubbed as the “farmer’s son,” Drilon got teary eyed while sharing that he was not able to spend his Christmas and New Year with his family because of work. He said he misses them so much and that he will go home this Lenten season.

"Sila ang inspiration ko. Gusto kong humingi sa kanila ng lakas ng loob pa para maaabot ko pa ang gusto kong abutin,” he said.

Drilon, along with PDA former scholars Liezel, Miguel and Laarni Lozada, will perform at Ratsky in Tomas Morato in Quezon City on February 13.
