Maricel Laxa hosts new show on motherhood, "MomWorks"

{mosimage}Celebrity supermom Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan will host a new show especially made for women, "MomWorks" Wednesday nights at 10:30 on the Lifestyle Network.

Lifestyle Network and Working Mom Magazine proudly present a show which focuses on the struggles and triumphs of women as wives, mothers and career women.

"MomWorks" features topics that matter most to women such as career issues, home management, a child’s personality formation and even keeping the romance live. The show's host is wife to husband Anthony, a mother to four children and a certified career woman. Laxa has her hands full, much like other Filipino women. She has made over twenty films and has guested in numerous Philippine TV programs.

Laxa is also an author of books about family. One of her books is "Mommytalk" which is a bestseller. She is also a columnist for one of the country’s top broadsheets.

She and her husband share their experiences and vision as parents through The Parenting Company. Laxa is currently earning her master’s degree in Family Life and Child Development from UP.

She has earned major awards and citations, both as an actress and as a mother.

Laxa has great respect for motherhood.

"There is no such thing as a non-working mom. Once you become a mother, that’s work itself – every minute, every second, every moment. And it’s one of the most fulfilling jobs a woman can have," she said.
