In 2004, Lorna Tolentino became the official face of Flawless. When the skin clinic continued to grow by leaps and bounds, however, Flawless lady boss Rubby Sy saw the need to get more celebrity endorsers and got the services of major talents Judy Ann Santos and Richard Gutierrez.
Somewhere along the way, StarStruck winners Yasmien Kurdi and Mark Herras also became Flawless endorsers. In May 2009, Alyssa Alano and this writer completed the list.
But wait, there’s one more. Unknown to Flawless clients in Metro Manila, there’s another endorser tucked down south. Her name is Bea Villegas. Turning 21 this April 28, she takes care of clients in the Flawless branches in Cebu and Iloilo.
Bea actually has celebrity relations: Nadia Montenegro, who used to be called the Brooke Shields of the Philippines, is her cousin. Based in Cebu, she once hosted a game show in the local ABS-CBN station there, while pursuing a degree in Legal Management at the University of San Carlos (she plans to take up law soon). From there, she also began having her own radio programs.
In 2007, Flawless decided to put up clinics in the Visayas (Iloilo and Cebu) and the company people knew they needed an endorser from that part of the Philippines. Since Bea comes from a prominent family in Cebu, the Flawless officials were acquainted with some of the Villegas kids and approached one of the girls to be their endorser. This pretty teenager, however, turned out to be quite shy and didn’t want to commit herself to that kind of a responsibility. But she had a sister, the more outgoing Bea. Maybe they’d want to try her out. One look at Bea and Flawless grabbed the replacement.

MANILA, Philippines - Actor Cesar Montano issued a statement following the death of his son, Christian Angelo, who committed suicide in their home in Quezon City on Friday morning apparently due to a "love" problem.
In an official message sent to the media, Montano said he was surprised when he heard about the tragic incident.
"To our dear friends from the media: I received the shocking news of my son, Christian Angelo's death early this morning while I was in Bohol. I, along with my wife Sunshine and daughter Angela, immediately flew back to Manila first thing today to be with my son," he said.
"No words can describe the grief that my family and I are experiencing with this devastating news. He was young, a cheerful, thoughtful and loving son who has a generous heart and spirit," Montano said.
"I was just with him yesterday before leaving for Bohol. Little did I know that it would be the last time I was to see him alive."

MANILA, Philippines - After the success of its albums Steady Lang and Ayos Din, Brownman Revival is here to say Eto Pa! and get ready to sway to its music once more as it releases its latest EP.
The six-track offering is composed of all-original Pinoy reggae tracks featuring the carrier single Hitik Sa Bunga. The track will surely be one of the hot anthems this summer with its bouncy beats. Though danceable, it carries a simple yet in-your-face message with its lyrics, “Mag-ingat sa mga asal talangka. Hihilahin ka nila pababa. Namamato kapag ika’y hitik sa bunga.” Or simply put, about crab mentality. The single is now on heavy airplay on radio and its music video recently premiered on MYX.
Brownman Revival is composed of Dennis (drums), Jao (bass), Onard (keyboards), Januarie (percussions), Alphy (guitars), Jayson (trombone), Jojo (sax), Ambet (trumpet) and Dino (vocals). They are chosen by Channel [V] Philippines as this month’s VIP (Very Important Pinoy) of the month where the band will be on various shows.
“We are proud of this EP because it is all originals and no covers for a change,” Dennis said.

Gary Valenciano's 'thrilling moment' with Justin Timberlake |

By a curious stroke of fate, Gary Valenciano found himself with Justin Timberlake in the Business Class of the same Philippine Airlines (PR103) flight that arrived early yesterday morning from L.A.
Justin is performing with Jojo in the Changing Lives: Timbaland Shock Value II Tour set for tomorrow night at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Concert Grounds.
“Justin was on the second row, left side while Gary was on the fourth row, right side,” said Gary’s wife Angeli Pangilinan who was on the aisle seat beside Gary. “I was so starstruck that I couldn’t talk to him. We respected his privacy.”
Besides, it was a no-no.
According to Funfare’s “roving DPA” (on the same flight), Justin, rather his manager Renee, reminded the flight crew that Justin wouldn’t entertain any request for autograph, wouldn’t pose for photographs, would prefer to be left in sweet slumber and no food please! “Justin brought his own food,” added the DPA.
Justin was in an entourage of 10, all of whom, observed Angeli, “were so humble and so down-to-earth.” Every now and then, Justin would exercise on the aisle along with a companion, which is a “must” on a long haul to prevent blood-clotting.
I could believe Angeli when she described Justin as “humble” and “down-to-earth.”
