Regine Angeles likes David Chua, but…

{mosimage}Aside from the unbeatable love team of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, there’s another real life pairing on the set of My Girl. David Chua who plays the Fil-Chinese Jeffrey in the teleserye has been vocal about his admiration for Regine Angeles who plays Julian’s secretary Shiela.Although Regine admits that she enjoys David’s company on the set, she’s reluctant about accepting him as a suitor.

“Nung nalaman kong mas bata siya (David) sa akin, parang ‘Ay!’ Sanay kasi ako na mas matanda sa akin [ang boyfriend ko]. Gusto ko kasi ako yung inaalagaan,” Regine tells ABS-CBN.com during the cast pictorial for My Girl. Regine and David have known each other ever since they started out at the Monaco modeling agency before they entered showbiz. That was also when David began having a crush on Regine. David, a 19-year-old Fine Arts student from University of Sto. Tomas, still has plans of pursuing the 22-year-old Be Bench model search winner if given the chance. Regine considers age as a big issue when it comes to her choices in men. “Crush ko dati si Carlo Guevara at si Enchong Dee, pero nung nalaman kong bagets parang ayoko na,” she says with a laugh. Regine clarifies that she has yet to go on a date with David. David had once offered to pick her up from the ABS-CBN studios and drive her home.

But Regine is not closing her doors on being paired with David for future projects. She says that she is willing to see if she and David will have any onscreen chemistry. “Hindi ko alam kung may chemistry kami ni David, pero i-try natin,” she reveals.
