Jericho Rosales: 'I am the happiest man in the world.'

Jericho Rosales was obviously overflowing with happiness when he faced reporters during the taping of Pasko Na, Kapamilya! The ABS-CBN 55th Anniversary Christmas Special last December 16 at the Araneta Coliseum.The actor expressed his gratitude to everyone who made his 2008 a blast especially because of the success of his Philippine-Malaysia produced teleserye Kahit Isang Saglit.“I feel great because 2008, although mahirap in the beginning, it ended very well.I’m very thankful to ABS-CBN and all the supporters of Kahit Isang Saglit for making the teleserye a great success.I also had a movie which is Baler.Having all these things is very overwhelming for me.I’m already looking forward to 2009 which I know is magiging maganda.I’m doing a project with Kristine Hermosa.Also there’s a talk about a movie with Kristine and Carmen Soo.I’ll also be coming up with a new album.So far ‘yun ang mga plano.Para akong nasa cloud nine.”

Aiza Seguerra now a hit jazz artist in Singapore; signs contract with Star Records

Singer-composer Aiza Seguerra said that she just signed a contract with ABS-CBN's music outfit Star Records for another fruitful and fun year. Seguerra is a contract artist of Star Records but on a per album basis only.

"Ang pinirmahan ko ngayon ay iyong renewal ng contract ko with Star Records for another year of fun," Seguerra told abs-cbnNEWS.com in an interview.

The former child star said that she's really happy working with Star Records since she's free to do the style she prefers to do in recording an album.

Riza Santos misses school

Ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate Riza Santos is currently busy with a lot of projects and commitments in show biz, but she admits that she largely misses her schooling.

The former beauty queen emphasizes that she values her education and plans to continue her studies. A Biology major, Riza shares that before she went to the Philippines to try showbiz, she was actually preparing to enter medical school.

"For now I'm setting aside school, but I definitely wanna go back because it is very important to me," says Riza. "I'm almost finished (with my major) over there (in Canada), so I would rather finish what I started," she shares.

Albert Martinez to pose sexy for magazine cover

Actor Albert Martinez's matinee idol days may be behind him but that hasn't stopped him from posing sexy for a magazine cover. The actor said part of his preparations for the photoshoot includes dieting and drinking alkaline water.

"Right now I started to diet. I live in the alkaline world now. Water, greens, I don't eat red meat and I only eat like half a cup of brown rice and I do a lot of exercise and biking every morning for two hours," Martinez said.

When asked on how much skin he would show for the magazine, Martinez replied: "Just right."

The actor, who has obviously lost weight, said his diet is his way of staying fit and healthy. "It's actually not a change of lifestyle. I want do something radical because I'm getting old. I want to prolong my life a little longer so the best way to go about it is to live in alkaline world," explains the actor.
