Regine and Ogie will Host Celebrity Duets Philippine Edition

{mosimage}Apparently, it’s no longer Janno Gibbs who was first announced to host the much awaited Philippine Edition of Simon Cowell’s Celebrity Duets but the Songbird and Songwriter couple Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid. Hindi lang ito ang gray area sa nasabing show dahil until now, hindi pa rin malinaw kung kailan ang premiere episode. Base sa tv spot na napanoond ko kahapon, it’s still saying “coming this August” samantalang Regine and Ogie announced last Sunday sa SOP that the show will start this Saturday after Fantastic Man. GMA make up your mind!

UPDATE: Celebrity Duets will indeed premiere this Saturday after Bitoy’s Funniest Videos and not Fantastic Man. Yesterday, the names of the non-singer celebrities who will be paired with singer-celebrities were presented to the press. They are:

1. Ana Theresa Licaros - Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2007
2. Frederick Peralta - Fashion Designer
3. Hayden Kho - Dra. Vicky Belo’s boyfriend
4. Jessica Rodriguez - Talent manager and beauty specialist
5. Dr. Manny Calayan - Beauty Doctor
6. Tessa Prieto Valdez - Socialite
7. Wyngard Tracy - Talent Manager
8. Becky Aguila - Angel Locsin’s manager JOKE!!!

No. 8 po si Tim Yap, Socialite.

The names of the professional singers have yet to be announced but i heard Jay-R and Kyla were among them.
