Ruffa Gutierrez is set write a book about her life and experiences as wife of Yilmaz Bektas, her estranged Turkish husband. During Sunday’s “The Buzz,” Gutierrez, however, was quick to say that contrary to rumors she will not drop a bombshell in her upcoming book. “There were lots of love between us and I also want him to learn about the lessons that I’ve learned… my experience being a Muslim and living there in a different country,” she said. She maintained that she will not write things that will make her former husband look bad. She said the book is also for their two children, Lorin and Venice. “I want Lorin and Venice to know the truth para hindi ko na i-explain pa kasi everyone’s asking me kung kailan ko sasabihin sa kanila [about our situation],” she said. She promised that “a lot of people will learn from this book.” She also clarified that she is not doing it for money. “One thing’s for sure, it will be coming from the heart,” she said, adding that she will begin writing the book this year. Gutierrez and Bektas tied the knot in Manila in 2003. After four years of being together, the two announced that they were ending their marriage. Gutierrez, who then moved back to Manila with her two children, claimed in her interviews that she was abused and physically tortured by Bektas during their marriage.
